patchwork

Topshop dress / Rayban sunglasses / vintage Prada bag / Chloe flats / Burberry watch / Tom Binns Alice in Wonderland bangle

I got this dress in the Topshop sales almost two years ago and I've worn it so much since it's kind of embarrassing. Today I went on a hunt for a charger for my Samsung digital camera (I left mine back in Perth waahh). I'd looked absolutely everywhere with no success only to find out much later that I could simply use a Blackberry charger. I'm exhausted now haha.

Also I'm leaving for London tomorrow! Hope I won't suffer from jetlag too badly and will be up and blogging in no time.

Midi

Muji hat / Topshop dress / Topshop belt / Celine bag / Michael Kors watch / Zara sandals

This is the first time I've worn anything midi-length and I quite like it. I don't mind if it makes me look shorter haha, it was pretty much love at first sight when I spotted this dress from across Topshop. I adore the shoulder cut-outs and subtle baroque print, plus it's really nice and flowy, which is perfect for Singapore weather.

designer knockoffs

Found some amazing knockoffs in Zara the other day! They don't have Zara back in Perth so I'm not sure if they constantly put out stuff like this but I am impressed nonetheless.

First off are these gorgeous boots which are very similar to the Chloe Susanna boots. Although these were a little on the pricey side for Zara, they are still less than a quarter of the original designer price, and the quality is outstanding, you can't complain. The leather is so buttery soft, you won't need to break them in at all.

Next is this tapestry sweater reminiscent of Dolce & Gabbana. If you are anything like me and have been literally crying over the perfection that is their Miss Sicily collection, you should have heard the noise that came out of my mouth when I spotted these. The detailing is immaculate too.

Spotted any good designer knockoffs recently?

It's been thunderstorming like crazy here, the humidity is driving me nuts. I'm counting the days till I'm freezing in London.

winter wishlist

Some things I currently want want want...

Wildfox Couture Oh Romeo Rose Garden Sweater (buy here)
I've always loved Wildfox sweaters as they are so soft and cozy, this one is made even more amazing with its gorgeous print and velvety texture.

Jeffrey Campbell Henry Skull (buy here)
Lucy Hale instagrammed herself wearing these and I fell in love. Such a cute twist on the classic black and white brogue.

Wildfox Couture Skeleton Hands necklace (buy here)
I'm really starting to embrace chokers at the moment so this is perfect.

Topshop tapestry skirt  (buy here)
Who cares if they remind you of grandma's curtains, these will lend just the right amount thickness, texture and print to your winter outfits.

What's on your wishlist this season?

Maison Martin Margiela for H&M haul

Since there's no H&M in Perth where I used to live, I have little to no experience in what to expect when one of their designer collections launch. When I arrived at the Singapore store at 9 in the morning I was surprised to see that there was not only a large queue but they were handing out wristbands with allocated times to come back, plus you were only allowed to shop for 10 minutes! not only was it very difficult to get around to see all the pieces within 10 minutes, I could hardly come to a decision on what to get. In the end I picked up these three pieces:

The famous sock sweater! These were literally flying off the rack and I'm so glad I managed to snatch the last one in my size. It's a really nice quality sweater in fail-proof colours but made to look like it was made from different sock pieces (I'm not sure if they were actually socks though)!

A chunky off-white cardigan with a nice collar to layer up with in London. I think this is just one of those go-to versatile pieces you can throw on over any outfit.

This bodysuit would look fantastic with american apparel disco pants or anything high waisted, with a leather jacket to avoid looking too 'naked'.

What do you think of the MMM collection?

singapore

Free People dress / House of Harlow sunglasses / Vintage  Polo Ralph Lauren bag

I landed in Singapore last night. This morning I am off to the launch of the Maison Martin Margiela for H&M collection, hopefully I'll be able to pick up a couple of pieces before they sell out! Then in the afternoon I'm going to see Skyfall. Quite excited to see Ben Whishaw play Q, I may have a little crush already.

First post.

Hey everyone!
I've created this blog to document my life from this point onwards.
So if you don't already know me... hello, nice to meet you.
My name is Andi and I've recently turned 20.
I love almost anything to do with art. I often draw or paint in my spare time. I could spend hours admiring other people's artworks.
Music is an integral part of my life. I play the piano and listen to music pretty much 24/7.
I am quite obsessed with fashion and love to dress up but I don't like following trends. I'll wear something because I like the look of it not because it is deemed fashionable, thanks.
I love losing myself in wonderful films or novels, feels like I've dropped off the face of the earth into a different world.
I've studied architecture only to find that this is not what I want to be doing the rest of my life.
I've lived in Perth, Western Australia, my whole life and I want to explore the world.
London seems like the perfect place to start.
