Topshop tee / Dangerfield skirt / Jeffrey Campbell flats / Karen Walker sunglasses / Rebecca Minkoff monogrammed bag / Zara skull bracelet / Millie 'n' Mae Believe friendship bracelet* / Tom Binns Alice in Wonderland bangle / Regal Rose midi rings

My love for ankle strap flats quickly escalated when I found these cute ones, every time I find myself looking down I can't help but smile. The 'believe' bracelet was kindly sent to me by Millie 'n' Mae, it's such a nice affirmative message to have on oneself and I've been wearing it daily. They do the cutest jewellery and accessories, make sure to check out their site and if anything catches your eye you can use the discount code 'ANGLOPHILE20' to get 20% off your purchase.

Zara blazer (similar here) / Dangerfield knit / Topshop collared blouse (similar here) / Modcloth lace brogues

Back on holiday in Perth I found this picturesque little park called Hyde Park that funnily enough I’d never been to before despite previously living in this city for 12 years of my life. It’s quite lovely despite being a minuscule fraction of the size of London’s Hyde Park. Also while I was home I rediscovered these lace shoes in my old bedroom, I dusted off the cobwebs and have now brought them back to London. They’re really nice for the summer here because of the light lace material, although it is a bit of a pain to keep them from getting dirty.

Cleo B collection launch

Over the weekend I was invited to the Cleo B collection launch at the stunning Masonic Temple in the Andaz hotel. Cleo B are a London shoe and accessory brand that are known for their really fun and quirky, statement making designs. Their latest collection is called It's Like That and along with incorporating groovy cassette tapes into their footwear, they have expanded their products to include accessories like shoe clips, bracelets, and even dog collars. I'm particularly enamoured by their adorable pom pom shoe clips that come in a rainbow array of bright colours.  Check out the Cleo B website to shop all these items and more.

There and back again

Topshop top / Black Milk leggings / H&M watermelon bag / Topshop boots

I’ve recently been on a long haul flight back to London so I thought I’d show you my typical airport outfit. It always consists of a variation of leggings and a baggy top because comfort is my number one priority when I’m going to be stuck in a seat for 13 hours plus. I finally got round to watching Django Unchained this time, such a good movie plus it took up three hours of my flight time.

Lazy Oaf x Nasty Gal dress / White Converse sneakers / Forever21 clear bag / ASOS sunglasses / Miu Miu, Tom Binns, Forever21 bracelets

I seem to spend a lot of time in Singapore these days since it's my usual stopover between Perth and London. I doubt I will ever get used to the humidity though (my hair has a mind of it's own over there), so I am forever in awe of the local girls and guys with perfectly sleek or spiked hairstyles who roam effortlessly about the city in the 35 degree heat. Meanwhile I'll live in easy breezy, loose-fitting dresses and oversized sunglasses to hide my sweaty face. Little do they know.

Rooney Mara for Calvin Klein 'Downtown' fragrance

My affinity for Ms. Mara continues but I was honestly a little surprised when she was announced as the new face of Calvin Klein's latest fragrance, as she's pretty much been the walking poster girl for all things Givenchy post The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. I'm not sure how I feel about the promotional images, she looks absolutely beautiful but the Lisbeth style biker jacket and classic black and white photography fails to make much of an impression in my opinion.

The theme continues but works a lot more effectively in the video commercial though. Directed by TGWTDT's David Fincher and backed by another Yeah Yeah Yeahs track, the short film follows Rooney 'day in the life' style and manages to be alluring, adorable, and totally chic at the same time. The cinematography is interesting enough that it doesn't need to fall into the way of those typical perfume adverts where someone's trying to sensually attract a member of the opposite sex and you don't really get the point in the end (you know the ones I'm talking about). I wish they could've conveyed the theme of the video more in the still advertisements too, but hey to be honest they had me at 'Rooney' and I will definitely be trying this perfume when it comes out in September.

Even stillness

In all seriousness, this cardigan is probably the heaviest piece of clothing in my closet. If you own this I know you agree with me or if you know someone who does I would highly recommend trying to lift it because it's so absurd it's almost funny. The good thing is of course it does a great job of keeping you warm and it doesn't feel anywhere near as cumbersome once it's on!
