Topshop striped top (sold out but similar here) / Dali skirt via Etsy / Zara flats / Primark bag (similar option) / Celine sunglasses / Forever21 bangles / & Other Stories ring
I am a huge admirer of surrealism and anything by Salvador Dali is really visually pleasing to me. I could lose hours staring at his paintings. The Persistence of Memory is probably one of the most well known of his works and I couldn't resist combining two of my biggest loves, fashion and art, with this gorgeous handmade printed skirt I found while browsing Etsy. I need to make a note to peruse that site more, it's the perfect place to source something a little quirkier from many a talented and creative designer. Though I love pairing this skirt with a basic tee, this time I've gone for a bit of subtle print mixing with a striped top and polka dot satchel. My ultimate, favourite Dali painting is called The Metamorphosis of Narcissus and I'm lucky in the fact that it currently resides at Tate Modern, which isn't too far away from me. Since I'm all for wearing artwork now, if I find that particular image on an item of clothing I think my life will be pretty complete.

Today I'm here with another lifestyle post and yes it's once again a little Game of Thrones oriented but I still wanted to do a recap because last weekend was my first time ever attending London Comic Con!

What I wore in my last post in more detail. It was only recently that I realised I didn't own any plain black tops and after acquiring this cropped one from Topshop, I almost want to spend my entire life pairing it with all my skirts and necklaces. Went for a simple monochrome look for my day in Warwick and my Vagabond boots gave me that little bit of extra height (which was much needed if you're gonna be standing next to Sophie Turner).

Last Friday I took a trip to Warwick to attend a talk with my favourite actress, Sophie Turner. You may know Sophie from her portrayal of Sansa Stark in the hit TV series, Game of Thrones. This was my first time visiting Warwick, which is Sophie's hometown and the talk itself was taking place at Playbox Theatre, the drama school she attended since she was three years old and has since become a patron of. Being the huge GOT nerd and Sansa supporter that I am, I was looking forward to hearing more of Sophie's thoughts on bringing her character to life and if she would dish anything about the upcoming fifth season.

Kate Moss x Topshop kimono / Topshop crop top / Asos Farleigh jeans / American Apparel hat / Primark necklace / Zara bag (similar) / Topshop boots (old)
Apologies for the awkward hands in these photos, it was one of those days when I wanted to wear a hat but the constant English wind was not agreeing. I was standing right next to the river as well and wasn't too keen on my hat's never-ending quest to drown itself. I always feel way out of my comfort zone stepping out in any form of jeans or trousers but this little outfit I put together ended up being one of my absolute favourites in a long while. I recently acquired these jeans after I heard Gracie from Ugly Face of Beauty raving about how they provided stretch all throughout the leg but not in the waist, thinking they would be perfect for me since I always seem to have a problem with the waist to hip ratio of most jeans. Unfortunately they still gape a little at the back but nothing a belt can't fix or in this case throwing a kimono over it. I was never really partial to the kimono trend but this paisley print one almost has the shape of a longline blazer or coat, which gives it a slightly smarter vibe that I absolutely love.

Fun fact: Out of Daenerys' three dragons, Viserion is my favourite (the gold one). I just feel like he's kinda underrated as Drogon keeps hogging the spotlight (plus he was named after Viserys who was definitely one of those psychotic villains I absolutely loved to hate). That spiel didn't have much relevance though since this skirt is based off Rhaegal's green scales. Anyway I found the top half of this outfit at a vintage store and was immediately drawn to the intricate floral pattern and the little collar, though on second thought it reminds me a bit of those 90s sweaters girls used to wear when doing aerobics.
Also I just found out that I've been shortlisted in this year's Cosmo Blog Awards for Best Established Fashion Blog! I literally can't believe it, thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who voted to get me this far. If you want to see me perhaps take away the title, you can now vote for me to win here.

ASOS swing dress (sold out but similar options here) / Kate Spade bag (old, similar option) / Vagabond sandals / & Other Stories necklace / Karen Walker sunglasses
I think I have a new found love for the swing silhouette. The abundance of fabric in the full circle skirt just makes me want to swish around all day! Apart from completing a summer outfit with some white chunky sandals, I might invest in swing dresses in more basic colours too, I reckon they'd be great for travelling paired with leggings and converse.
