When life gives you lemons, why not wear them? This Miss Patina two-piece is basically everything I could ever desire since it combines my love of lemon print and co-ords... so of course I had to have it. I think Sansa Stark would really approve of this get up.

Speaking of Sansa, I feel like I need to address the elephant in the room ie. my opinions on last week's controversial Game of Thrones episode. To say that I am completely and utterly devastated would be an understatement. As many of you know, Sansa is my all-time favourite literary character, I have grown so close to her as I've followed her journey through all the years that it feels like I've been dealt the blow too. It already annoys me so much that the show writers have strayed in such an unsavoury direction from the books it was based on but to make up a completely unnecessary rape scene in an attempt to perhaps shock TV viewers (to be honest, I don't have the slightest inkling why they did it), to further strip Sansa of any agency and most horrifically, portraying the abuse of women so lightly just so it serves as an ultimately pointless plot device makes me very angry indeed. Ask yourselves, what is this world we live in and has it developed at all when there are still men that clearly think this is ok. This is a clear example as to why feminism is needed now more than ever. If Game of Thrones continues to go down this unacceptable route, I will no longer be supporting it.

  1. Nice:) xx

  2. Love this outfit, the lemons are so cute!! I have to say I was glad that I knew this twist in the story-line before watching it, having been through that horrible experience myself, I wouldn't have liked it being sprung upon me otherwise. I know they didn't 'show' it, but the knowledge of knowing that it was happening and seeing her face was enough for me to cover my eyes and ears. The girl playing Sansa was interviewed about the scenes and she said she loved them and enjoyed filming them. They have had this kind of story-line in the show (from the book) with another character and I always find it vile. I hate the way this show builds the female characters to be strong and then knocks them down at a man's will. It's pissing me off right now and I have had enough of it. So many strong characters in the book/show that are female and it always seems to be a way of 'making them stronger' as the writers put it, but why can't they be strong without having to be at a man's will!?! I mean if you look at some of the females on the show they have to answer to some man or partner with a man to gain control or look like men to come across strong, it's not just on this show but oh so many and I think that's bullshit. Going through hard times makes you strong no matter if you're female or male, but these shows don't always represent that. I hope something positive can come from this story line. I don't know at the moment, it's all jumbled for me just now..I need to see how it plays out to have a better understanding (if at all) as to why this scene was put in. <3 <3

  3. You look amazing :)

  4. Love your lemony two piece so much! Even though I know next to nothing about GOT, as a feminist I enjoyed reading your take on this recent development. Great analysis.

  5. love the outfit and speaking of sansa, before that scene, i was sure she was going to hurt Ramsey in some way with or without the help of theon. instead i was really disappointed. i don't find fair how the writers had decided to move on with the growth of sansa character. hope it will get better.

  10. I know one of our team stopped by and said this on Twitter, but I had to say it here too. That outfit is just lovely. It's really not the kind of print that would spring to mind as something that would work, but it just does. It's such a lovely Spring look on you x

  11. Wonderful look, I love it!

  12. Oh My Gosh you look absolutely adorable!!!! I cannot tell you how in love I am with that print x

  13. I immediately thought of Sansa Stark when I saw this get up! It's super cute. So with you on everything you've said about GoT, I haven't got that far in the books yet but it was 100% about ratings with that scene - ridic because it's not like everyone doesn't watch it already! I just hope they redeem themselves by making everything ok for Sansa in the end x

  15. Girl you give me life with all you wear and all you say. Double lemon print would never work on me but you make it look SO good; I swear you can pull anything off. I don't watch GoT and I haven't read the books (although I do play the games which does seem odd now I've written it) and it seems like everyone was as equally disgusted. I'm interested to see what they do next. Sending all my big love to you as always xxxx
