EDITORIAL | SOPHIE TURNER FOR TOWN AND COUNTRY MAGAZINE

Photographed by Regan Cameron
Styled by Miranda Almond

My ideal utopian place would be an 18th century English landscape garden, complete with vast lawns and symmetrical gardens (Versailles style), adorned by an endless variety of flowers and walled by trim hedges with ornate statues or fountains around every corner. Mmhmm. If you follow my Tumblr, you might have already gathered this from the frequency at which I reblog photos of a myriad of different gardens and old English architecture. Photographs and editorials featuring this sort of landscape is already a sight for sore eyes but when you add in my favourite actress Sophie Turner as the primary subject (not to mention dressed in the most gorgeous, whimsical pieces), you have the most perfect editorial indeed.

BLUE FOX

Mornings when I wake up to the sun streaming into my room through an absence of clouds can still be frightfully deceiving. Case in point, my fingers quickly turned pink and felt like they'd been borderline frostbitten while we were taking these photos. Nonetheless I was still really feeling this outfit that I'd put together the night before (yep I'm one of those girls, I can never leave it to the morning to decide what to wear). Cobalt blue is a colour that I adore yet often neglect to wear, and combined with a pop of orange and some monochrome leopard print, feels decidedly fresh and funky for someone who spends most of their time in florals.

TWILA

Fashion Union coat* / Meadham Kirchhoff x Topshop cardigan / Cooperative skirt via Urban Outfitters / ASOS boots

The seventies vibes are out in full force today! I can't help but feel like I stepped out of that era with this super snuggly wool Fashion Union coat so decided to base my entire outfit around it. They have heaps of gorgeous faux fur coats and jackets in at the mo, which makes me feel perfectly fine about winter sticking around for a bit longer. I snapped up the skirt in UO's Boxing Day sales and the funky Meadham Kirchhoff cardi sadly doesn't get as much wear as I'd like... determined to change this though, it's just too awesome to spend most of its time hanging around in the back of my closet.

A walk in the park with my pooch on an overcast weekend, make-up free and barely brushed hair. I'm starting to wonder whether I should re-evaluate how many Bosch themed items is a healthy amount to have in one person's wardrobe... I should probably move on to collecting Dali inspired pieces or something hey.

PS. Unfortunately that adorable white Westie isn't mine but for the sake of this post let's just pretend he is.

STARK SHADOWS

I can't tell you how happy I am to have finally found a pair of over-the-knee boots that fit my calves. This pair from ASOS have been all over the blogosphere recently but what I love most about them is that they are super duper stretchy without compromising the look of the suede-like material. Furthermore, what could be cooler than this scarf, it has the House Stark direwolf sigil on it! 'Winter is coming' has definitely added a whole new meaning to rugging up for the cold. So... season 5 of Game of Thrones is set to go on air April 12th, but the question remains, what do I do with my life until then?
