LIFESTYLE | LEGEND PREMIERE WITH TOM HARDY & EMILY BROWNING

As I'm sure most of you are familiar, one of the things I love most about living in London is that many movies get their world premiere in Leicester Square. Even if you don't have a ticket, it's always a lot of fun to turn up and watch the talent arrivals. Last Thursday, my friend and I went to the Legend premiere. The two of us adore Tom Hardy of course but having both met him before, I was actually more excited to see Emily Browning in the flesh. The pint-sized actress has always been a huge fashion inspiration to me, her off-duty style has influenced many of my own outfits and I'd go as far to say that she was a contributing factor to me starting this blog. I've followed her work since I lived in Australia (she's a fellow Aussie too) and the humour that of all places to finally meet her would be all the way across the sea in London was definitely not lost on me. Christopher Eccleston (better known as the Ninth Doctor) was the first of the cast to arrive on the blue carpet but as he didn't really come over to sign for us, I didn't manage to capture any good photos of him. The main man, Tom Hardy, arrived shortly after with his beautiful pregnant wife, Charlotte Riley, and after posing for official photographs, he didn't waste any time in coming over to the fans to sign autographs and take selfies. What utterly surprised me was the sudden appearance of an excited canine in front of me and my friend exclaimed, 'That's Tom's dog!' Of all the premieres I'd ever been to, this was the first time I'd seen a dog walking the carpet. It's absolutely heartwarming to witness how much Tom loves his dog and all the cameras were fixed on them as he cuddled and kissed Woody (short for Woodstock) before taking his lead and continuing to sign for fans, this time with Woody in tow. Leading lady Emily Browning was a vision in a retro collared Roksanda dress, proving yet again her unwavering status as one of my ultimate style icons. I loved the bright coral shade too, gave the dress a very modern twist. I was also pleasantly surprised to see that she had brought her friend, a now flame-haired Hannah Murray, of Game of Thrones and Skins fame, as her plus one. Also present on the blue carpet was co-star David Thewlis (Harry Potter) and guest Andy Serkis (Lord of the Rings). I've decided to up my photography game at premieres and took my DSLR with me this time, it can get a bit hectic with the amount of people pushing and moving around but I don't think I did too badly for my first try.

Legend is out in UK cinemas today.

All photographs were taken by me. Please credit and link back to this blog if you use them.
