As may be quite apparent to you lovely readers, boots are my favourite form of footwear. I'm sure a pair has featured in almost every single one of my style posts because they're pretty much the only thing to grace my feet day to day. Even in the summer I try to make ankle boots work because I love toughening up little vintage dresses with them. My most worn boot would have to be the Alexander Wang Kori boots I invested in last year, they're a simple and sleek black leather pair but with a cut-out rose gold detail in the heel that adds a nice bit of interest. This is what I usually look for in a boot, something a little bit different yet still versatile enough to wear daily and go with different outfits. As lovely as the Wang boots are, I was on the look out for something with a slightly higher heel, for times when I want a more feminine look and that extra strut heels can give. Enter these grey New Look ankle boots, in a gorgeous faux suede with the most amazing mirrored block heel. Today I've worn them with a chunky jumper and leather trousers to jazz up a more casual ensemble but I've also envisioned how perfectly they'll go with all my winter dresses.
