This aviator jacket/coat has been my absolute saviour this past winter and I thought I'd post one of the looks I styled with it before it got too inaptly sunny outside. Originally inspired by Acne's oversized shearling dream, I'd seen many variations of the aviator jacket pop up on the high street and soon enough it was making the blogging rounds. Topshop's version initially caught my eye but £85 seemed too steep for me, especially since it was a new trend that I wasn't sure would suit me or that I would thoroughly love wearing (I'm not trying to be Harry Styles if you know what I mean). I think it's nice to be inspired by certain trends but ultimately if you don't love what you're wearing, you'll never feel 100% comfortable and it'll just end up looking like that item is wearing you. Anyway I've gone off on a tangent, what I'm trying to get at is that I found this one from New look for less than £50, granted the lining is faux shearling but what really pleasantly surprised me was how warm it was. It really insulates your body heat so it quickly became my jacket of choice for those freezing days and nights (you know I do a lot of stage doors and premieres and you might've noticed me wearing this on many of those occasions). I went for earthy tones with this look, a relaxed swing dress in the prettiest paisley print matched with a dark brown lip (Kylie Cosmetics in True Brown K), and my new tortoiseshell heel boots from Topshop.
Totally agree. If you don't LOVE an outfit...it can seem like it is wearing you. But you are definitely wearing this outfit! Love that coat! the-creationofbeauty.blogspot.com
