The story of this dress was that I spotted it the morning before I was about to jet off on holiday and had inevitably packed (and successfully shut, that's really the most important and deciding factor) my suitcase. It was the loudest, most confusing dress I'd ever laid eyes upon, with its mixed prints, assortment of different shaped sequins and frilly accents... I almost couldn't decide whether it was a genius design or just plain ugly. Regardless I fell in love because it was unique and I knew it would be coming home with me. Then as a true sign of dedication I fully unzipped my bulging suitcase to slot this dress in. I wasn't even sure if I'd get any wear out of it on holidays but it turns out on our first day in Copenhagen, we were blessed with a cool, breezy day. It was such a perfect situation that I didn't even think twice about wearing sequins in the daytime until I stepped out into the sun and consequently blinded everyone within a mile radius from me, including myself. It was super fun and liberating though, what better opportunity to do something you wouldn't normally consider than whilst you are in a foreign country? I knew I probably wouldn't see any of these people again but I definitely made an impression, judging by the amount of strangers who came up to compliment this dress. So yes, long story short: sequins aren't just reserved for nighttime. Wear whatever the heck you want, whenever you want.
