Motel dress*/ ASOS boots / Daniel Wellington watch*

If New Year's Eve isn't the perfect time to emulate a sassy, sparkly mermaid, then when is?! I've had my eye on this Motel dress for a long while but thought it would be prime time to showcase its stunning opalescent shine whilst my hair is silver, can't have anything else clashing and stealing its spotlight. I would also like to point out that while I often find sequinned material rather stiff and uncomfortable, this Gabby dress has each disc stitched on one side only so it's free to stretch and move around if you get what I mean... ultimately it's the nicest piece of sequinned clothing I've ever worn and bonus points for it not being itchy at all. I've mentioned a couple of times this year that I'm finally starting to build up the confidence to wear bodycon silhouettes and I think the material really does play a huge part in it. I've found that scuba, velvet, sequins, embellishments etc are the most forgiving on my figure as they help hide a multitude of sins whilst adding that extra bit of wow factor that I always crave when putting a look together.

As 2016 draws to a close, I wanted to take a moment to thank you all for following this little blog of mine for another year. Whether you're new or have stuck around since it's inception, it means a lot for me to be able to share my personal online space with you so thank you for your support and interaction, the blogger community truly is a wonderful place. Wishing you an absolutely fabulous New Year and I'll see you in 2017! x
