New Look dress*/ New Look choker*/ New Look headband*/ ASOS boots / Regal Rose ring

I love the spirit of Halloween and all things creepy and spooky but often cringe at planning a look for a party because I know I'm probably going to choose something I'd never end up wearing again. So it was totally perfect when New Look challenged me to create a Halloween party look with pieces that can then be re-styled for day-to-day wear or other occasions. The first item I chose was this green velvet wrap dress. There's always something so 'Morticia Addams' about dark velvet and though my closet features plenty of the black and burgundy variety, this deep bottle green shade I've not worn much since I had teal hair so now's definitely the time. It's a great dress for winter nights out, the velvet material will keep you warmer, the lower neckline perfect for showcasing some statement necklaces, but on the other hand I think it would look cute with a polo-neck underneath it too, for a super 90s day-time look. I've been looking for a lace-up choker like this ever since I saw Bella Hadid sporting one and was so pleased to find New Look make them with both gold or silver hardware (silver all the way for me). It's perfect for sassing up any Halloween outfit but I also can't wait to rock this with a simple tee or bardot top a la Bella. Last but not least, I finished off the look with these lace bunny ears. I've always been drawn to the darker side of rabbits (think Donnie Darko and not Playboy) so I think this headband fulfils that fascination of mine pretty well. I do have to say, New Look have got such a fab Halloween shop this year, I literally keep browsing it everyday because I want so many of their pieces. My inner goth-girl is ready to come out and play and perhaps she'll decide to stay so I have an excuse to pick up a couple more things for her.

What are you planning on wearing for Halloween? If you're still stumped, why not check out this video for some more easy Halloween ideas oooooh.
